Aom is a fantastic photographer and is our go-to girl for visual content. She can shoot both above and below the surface, although as a diver it’s probably fair to say her happy place is underwater. She loves shallow dives where she can play with light penetration, and she can spend hours in the sand focusing on macro life. Her favourite underwater models are probably anemone fish.
Originally from a mountain town near Chiang Rai, Aom moved to Chiang Mai to attend university where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Tourism and Hospitality, after which she worked as a tour guide leading domestic itineraries within Thailand, in addition to international tours in Vietnam and Cambodia. After becoming jaded by city life and long commutes, she moved to Koh Tao and worked as a receptionist at a 5-star resort. Seeing guests learn to dive sparked her curiosity, and it wasn’t long before Aom became a diver, and in turn a dive instructor and underwater photographer.
A natural in front of the camera as well as behind it, Aom starred in PADI’s most recent Tec Diving promotional video. When she’s not teaching diving, capturing images, or modelling for dive agency videos, you’ll find her expanding on her photo stocks by exploring the deeper sites of Koh Tao, most likely wearing a twin set or her sidemount gear.
